The Best Real Estate Books (in my opinion)

Real estate investing can be a great way to build wealth and generate passive income, but it’s important to have a solid understanding of the industry and the various strategies involved. I’ve worked with several investors the past few years in a variety of strategies from multifamily to short term rentals. Here are some of my favorite books for real estate investors to read:

  1. “The Book on Investing in Real Estate with No (and Low) Money Down” by Brandon Turner: This book is a comprehensive guide to investing in real estate with little or no money down. It covers a wide range of strategies, including owner financing, lease options, and creative financing. It’s a must-read for any real estate investor looking to get started with minimal capital.
  2. “The Real Book of Real Estate: Real Experts. Real Stories. Real Life” by Robert T. Kiyosaki: Most folks will point you to Robert’s most famous book “Rich Dad Poor Dad”, which I agree is a fantastic book. But this one deserves mention as well. This book is a collection of real-life stories from successful real estate investors, along with insights and advice from industry experts. It covers a wide range of topics, including finding deals, negotiating with sellers, and managing rental properties.
  3. “The Intelligent Investor” by Benjamin Graham: This classic book is widely considered to be one of the best investment books of all time. It offers a practical, common-sense approach to investing and it will help investors to understand how to evaluate an investment opportunity, and how to make smart decisions in real estate.
  4. “The Millionaire Real Estate Investor” by Gary Keller: Gary is well known in the real estate world as the founder of the Keller Williams brokerage. He’s also written several great books including this one. This book offers practical advice and strategies for building a successful career in real estate investing. It covers topics such as lead generation, marketing, and time management, and it’s a must-read for any investor looking to take their business to the next level.
  5. “The ABCs of Real Estate Investing” by Ken McElroy: This book is a great introduction to the world of real estate investing. It covers the basics of buying, renting, and selling properties, as well as the tax implications of real estate investing. It’s an easy-to-read guide that provides a wealth of information for new real estate investors.

These books will help you to understand the different strategies and concepts involved in real estate investing, and they will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to make smart investment decisions. If you’re looking for a realtor who’s investor friendly, please reach out and let’s find your next property whether it’s a single family rental or a 130 unit building in Indianapolis.
